Our client, JVC Insurance, received a Non-Compliant Contributor status from the verification agency, with no points awarded for enterprise development (ED) and socio-economic development (SED) despite having complied with all requirements for these two pillars.
We immediately lodged an appeal with the verification agency, stating the grounds for our appeal.The client was ultimately awarded full points for both ED and SED, and issued with a revised scorecard reflecting a Level 3 Contributor status.
Verification agencies can and sometimes do make mistakes. Ensure you employ the services of a B-BBEE consultant that knows and understands the B-BBEE Codes to ensure you secure the scorecard that your company deserves.
